Champions Trophy 2025

BCCI Unfazed by PCB’s Boycott Threat

The BCCI has issued a strong response to Pakistan’s threat to boycott the 2026 T20 World Cup if India doesn’t participate in the 2025 Champions Trophy in Pakistan.

BCCI vice-president Rajiv Shukla has made it clear that the decision to send the Indian team to Pakistan lies solely with the Indian government. Despite the PCB’s aggressive stance, the BCCI remains firm in its position.

The ongoing political tensions between the two nations have cast a long shadow over cricket relations. With the Champions Trophy approaching, the situation is set to intensify, with both boards adopting a hardline approach.

The threat of a boycott from either side could have serious repercussions for the sport and for the ICC.

Do you think a diplomatic solution can be found to resolve this issue?
