Shanto Ruled Out of West Indies Tests Due to Injury

Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto has been ruled out of the upcoming two-Test series against West Indies due to a left groin injury. The injury was sustained during the second ODI against Afghanistan.

A medical assessment confirmed a Grade II strain, requiring a period of rest and rehabilitation. As a result, Shanto will miss the crucial Test series, a significant blow for Bangladesh’s batting lineup.

The Tigers will be looking to bounce back from their recent ODI series loss to Afghanistan and will need to find a suitable replacement for Shanto. The upcoming Test series against West Indies is crucial for Bangladesh as they aim to improve their Test rankings.
