Kaif Slams India’s Batting After NZ Whitewash

Former Indian cricketer Mohammad Kaif has launched a scathing attack on the Indian team’s performance in the recently concluded Test series against New Zealand. The Kiwis clinched a historic whitewash, exposing India’s vulnerabilities against spin bowling.

Kaif singled out India’s batting performance, particularly against the likes of Ajaz Patel and Glenn Phillips, who are not considered world-class spinners. He criticized the Indian batters for their inability to adapt to the conditions and their lack of application against spin bowling.

“Ajaz Patel is not a world-class spinner. You can find such bowlers in local clubs in India. The Indian batters were completely outplayed,” Kaif said in a video posted on social media.

The former Indian cricketer also questioned the team’s strategy and selection, suggesting that India might have overlooked the importance of experienced players like Cheteshwar Pujara.

India’s defeat has raised serious concerns about their Test team’s ability to perform in challenging conditions. The team will need to address their shortcomings and work on improving their batting against spin if they want to remain competitive at the highest level.
