Pathum Nissanka Returns as Sri Lanka Announce Squad for England Tests

Sri Lanka Cricket has named a strong 18-member squad for the upcoming three-match Test series against England.

The highlight of the squad is the return of Pathum Nissanka to the Test format. The talented batter has been in excellent form in white-ball cricket and will be looking to replicate his success in the longer format.

The squad boasts a blend of youth and experience, with veterans like Dimuth Karunaratne, Angelo Mathews, and Dinesh Chandimal providing stability. Rising stars Nishan Madushka and Sadeera Samarawickrama will be eager to make their mark.

The spin department is led by the experienced duo of Prabath Jayasuriya and Ramesh Mendis, while the pace attack comprises Asitha Fernando, Vishwa Fernando, Kasun Rajitha, and Lahiru Kumara. Uncapped pacer Nisala Tharaka has also been included in the squad based on his impressive domestic performances.
